General Information About Our Social Studies Classroom

If a Student is Absent.....

According to our school handbook, "Upon returning to school after an illness, students should meet with each individual teacher to arrange a work make-up schedule within a reasonable period of time. One day of make-up time will be given for each day of absence unless there are extenuating circumstances. If a student is absent three consecutive days, a parent(s) or guardian(s) may contact the guidance office for missed assignments. The work will be available the following day by 3:00 P.M. for pick up.
If it has not been three days and a student is curious about what they are missing in class, they can check the "If You Were Absent" tab at left to see what they missed. Once they return to school, students should also check the folder posted in the classroom for their class period.
These are tough times for many people and missing school can sometimes feel overwhelming - please feel free to contact me if you have any questions about the above policies and/or if I can help your student feel more comfortable about missing class/making up missing work.
